Just started playing online and I have to say it's great, but I'm having to learn to play all over again as it's so different from playing the AI. I have online played a hadful of games and lost every one so far - does the quick game in ranked match try and match you up with similar talent levels? If so how many games until you start getting an equal level?

could be why I have been trounced each time then - well that and the fact that Im a bit crap - only ever play amature aka two stars!!!

Against the CPU I can only win on easiest 2 difficulties. Online Ranked I get whooped. Playing people on these forums, I do the whooping. So it really is a mixed bag!!! Also I can ask you some questions about your PS3 without the 360 brigade on here ruining it ;-)

I will try and get one once I have put my daughter to bed about 7:15'ish. A few episodes of Little Bear until then though - man that program is boring but it always calms her down nicely before bed :)
 
Just be aware in advance that people are generally cheating scum.

so when they decide to pause the game indefinately and put themselves "offline", stay calm, go to messages, and type in as many insults as possible and click send.
 
i had one last night getting beat 1-0 i equalized the game froze i then start getting messages

at first what is happening then he accused me of pausing the game when he was 3-0 up the frozen screen said 1-1 in the corner i replied telling him this eventually he quit after about half a hour and saying cheats like me ruin gaming lol

dont know why they do this does the gamertag mean that much to them that they would rather have a fake good record than a honest normal record beyond me

to be fair though this only happened once all night the rest of the people i played did not cheat

this happens a lot and on the rare occasion when its been a normal person im playing it appears that the game splits , ie id have scored a goal whereas on his version of the game i didnt score.

this has happened a few times playing friends aswell so can confirm that this is the case.

also we managed to get the ball stuck between 2 players for an entire half of a game aswell.

all i ask guys is you bear this information in mind before calling people cheating *******'s
 
Anybody noticed the bug that if the ball hits the corner flag and then bounces out of one end of the pitch, it comes straight back in on the other side of pitch near the opposite corner flag?

Also, after playing exclusively online for a long time, I now completely suck against the AI :D.

if he was winning it was unlikely that he cheated. A lot of people have reported glitches where 2 games would go out of sync and you'd have totally different games playing with different scores. if you had the live camera you could have sent him a picture of the score on your screen. never happened to though I don't think.

OR, you cheated, and you're just not admitting it to us ;)

and no I've never seen that corner flag glitch.
 
struck me as a bit odd that he tried to claim a 3-0 scoreline when i had equalized i mean he could have put two past me when it froze at my end but i equalized

somebody was playing against me when this happened they kicked off after it there is no way the score can go backwards i did not call him a cheat but i did ask if he was for real and said i was not quitting lol

btw i dont even know or want to know how to freeze the game should be patched to stop this but
