Can't Stand Me Now was a great song, its a shame they weren't around long enough for me to hear the rest of the other stuff...

Yes I could buy the album, but I generally don't do that based on just one song ;)

you should give some of those songs a listen, they really were a great band, and i can't stand the guy - so it takes some good music for me to keep that point of view :D
 
He's a ****, you have to remember that he's a role-model for a lot of young, impressionable people. Don't be too quick to assume that his drug-taking and general ****ing-around isn't harming anyone :(

I say they throw the book at him, he's had enough chances now...
 
Great music such a shame he got hooked on class A drugs.

I suppose he will be let off again by the excellent lawyer he will hire to defend his case.
 
I must be the only one who feels sorry for the guy. He has an addiction. He has money and fame thrown at him. It can't be easy to deal with. Yeah some people here might be able to cope, but not everyone can.

Maybe he will realise what's going on and sort himself out. Personally I feel there will probably be a tragic end to the life of Mr Doherty, though I sincerely hope he pulls through and re-focuses.

Personally i would have him took of the streets and placed in a secure unit where he could be cleaned out drug wise. Then once he was clean i would put him up in front of a judge for sentencing for any crimes outstanding.
There is no point trying to deal with these kinds of people why they are still on drugs as they simple don't care what happens to them.
I don't read newspapers so cannot get sick of the reporting but i do know druggys and i am sick of them.
It's about time we initialised tactics to deal with drugs and users that were effective.

Well said Malc. I agree.

The vast amount of volume crime, ie burglary etc, is committed by drug addicts to feed addiction of heroin, crack etc. They need to be taken out of the loop and if that means draconian laws to do so, then so be it. Human rights do include people who are **** scared to go out at night or are terrified in their own homes.

As for Docherty, he is a prize tool, a terrible role model and a mediocre celebrity to say the least. He needs either a good tonking to knock some sense into him or secure accomodation to dry out.

I can't personally see why anyone would be bothered by a loser wasting his life being smacked up all the time. The only people effected are people who look up to him. Well if you look up to a loser like that, you're an idiot anyway.

Pete Doherty, such a loser that he's richer, far more successful and has a better looking bird than probably everyone who's been bagging him in this thread, gotta love jealousy.

Jealous of a shambling, heroin and crack ravaged wreck ? I can only speak for myself but that would be a no, despite his money and social life. I prefer the company of decent, real people.
