Peter Whittingham Seriously ill/injured [Update: RIP]

Shame to hear, was a good player for us. Lots floating around social media that this hasn't been confirmed though.
 
He's very seriously ill in hospital but thankfully alive. Had a feeling this was untrue given lack of credible sources. That website looked desperate for traffic and jumped the gun.
 
Wow! Sorry, but it was everywhere over the internet last night, including tributes from his friends and ex teammates, so I thought it was true. Here’s hoping he makes a full recovery.
 
Christ, just seen this. He only played one season for us (Blackburn) and it was obviously at the tail end of his career but he was still decent albeit at a lower standard.

Such a shame for something that seems so innocuous, an accidental fall at a pub? 35 years old. So sad :(
