howdy.
just took my mums 1996 406 Exec (2.0 Petrol, Turbo) down to the shops. on the way back a warning light flicked on. Toward the left of the dash, near the oil level gauge. It was red, and it to me looked like an old style radiator (with the expansion tank and cap on the top of it). It only flickered on, then off. Then back on around 5 mins later and then off again.
I'm assuming it is low coolant. I went to check the owners manual, and it's not in the glove box - so not really sure where it is!
I went to check the coolat level, I can't work out how to check it though. found the expansion tank with ease but there is seeminly no way to check the level on it. any clues? it did have a 3 pin electrical sensor in the top of though - compounding my theory of the light being a low coolant warning, seeing as though the car can sense it.
