Peugeot Mats Fixing Points

Purchased mats for a 208 from an online retailer. The mats are stated to be compatible with the fixing points.

I can't see how this fits. On the carpet there is a ring, with what looks like a snap off inner ring. Presumably this is a universal fitting, where you have the option for a small fixing point or a larger one.

But neither ring fits the fixing point. It's like the ring can be either 15mm or 5mm. But the fixing post is 10mm.

Presuming it should use the 15mm ring then this is too loose. Should there be like a mushroom shaped piece to click on the top of the mat to lock it in place?

This is what it looks like

The peg on the floor is smaller than the hole in the mat. It's as if there should be like a mushroom cap to now fit over the top to clip it all into place, or the hole should be smaller.

I contacted the supplier. They said they would look into it but have not heard from them since.
