Didn't want to make a new thread, PFA shortlist

Vardy, Mahrez, Kante, Kane, Payet, Ozil and........... Wayne Rooney.

I keep pointing out he gets picked for England and for Utd for commercial reasons, this is it. Wayne Rooney has been amongst the worst strikers in the league this year, however a crap striker at Villa will have 1/10th the number of chances to shoot that a crap striker at Utd/top 6 team will have. Top 6 teams generally also win more penalties which has also helped Rooney out. Absolute embarrassment he's on the list, probably 100 players at least who deserved to be on the short list more than Rooney, actually a lot more than that.

Young players list is Kane, Alli, Lukaku, Barkley, Butland, Coutinho.

Really should be Alli, first season in the league, second full season, he's been fantastic. Should be Kane, Alli or Lukaku winning it though. Barkley/Coutinho are painfully inconsistent to the point they don't come close to deserving it over the others. Butland I really haven't seen enough of to know if he was really that good this year.

Lol how the **** is Rooney on that list?!

These are voted by the players though aren't they or does the FA draw up the shortlist and the players vote?

For me it would be Mahrez/Payet and Alli/Kane. I can't decide :p Not sure Barkley should be on that list, too inconsistent for me

Has to be a Leicester player, Mahrez or Vardy.
Would consider Alli. It's a joke if it is any player that isn't a Fox or a spur.

Got to be Mahrez for me. He's big consistently excellent all season.

Kane for young player. Alli has been the breakthrough star but Kane has had a bigger impact overall.

I can't see Vardy not winning it on the basis that he has made more assists than Kane and has broken RvN consecutive goalscoring record, Mahrez isn't Englsih so he'll have to do twice as good to be recognised if Rooney's career is anything to go by..... ;)

Despite Arsenal up and downs, Ozil has had a phenomenal season. Naturally it'll be Mahrely I bet, purely based on Vardy's drop in form after the new year.

Can keepers win this because DDG has been immense this season. Without him we would be about 20 points worse off in the league and out of every competition at a much earlier stage.

He rarely even gets MOTM for United despite carrying them week in week out so no, goalkeepers only seem to get any recognition for performances when they're not big name teams.

Indeed, it's insane that flipping Rooney is up for it but not him.

Payet for me, although Mahrez will win it, I think.

Alli for the young player, or maybe Kane. Although considering Alli never made a senior appearance before this season it is even more impressive ;).
