Pfsense on esxi, hosted on Gen 8 microserver

Is anyone running this? I have got a seperate Intel dual nic card in the server and was thinking I could run this as a pfsense router in a VM.

My server has 12gb ram, esxi 6 and already has a couple of vm's running on it.

Will this be able to run pfsense as a main home router?

I run a PfSense VM using a Dual Intel NIC under KVM in UnRaid. Works nicely.

Am running pfSense inside a VM on ESXi, using a HP Microserver N54 (so the gen before), using an Intel Dual port NIC.
It will be more than enough for your home network. Setup on ESXi an Inside network and an Outside network, attach 2 virtual NICs to the VM, connecting one to each network.
