PG279Q or MG279Q?

Samsung 27" 1080p 120Hz monitor finally dead. Boo. So which of these 2 Asus monitors to buy? Both IPS, both 1440p.

I do not currently have a dedicated card, but will be buying either a GTX 1060 or RX 480 shortly. Will depend on which monitor I choose

- Difference in price not really an issue.
- No preference on either GSync or FreeSync.

Please help me decide!

I'd go the other way around TBH - base the monitor choice on the GPU choice i.e. which one you can get the best deal on.

Personally I consider G-Sync to be the better of those 2 in terms of tech if that is a major part of the purchasing choice - freesync has more limited options in terms of handling windowed/borderless mode games and G-Sync combined with nVidia's new FastSync can be nice to have in some cases where it works.

I'll be keeping the monitor far longer than the GPU, therefore want it to last - this is why I thought choosing the monitor would be the better preference I guess.
