pg279q vs x34 which one !?!

Hi all as title say really, want to get a new monitor but cant decide they both seem amazing panels i just cant decide I guess one of the main factors is my gpu i have a 980ti and prefer playing at higher fps, the main 3 games i play are witcher 3 hots and wow, with single player games thrown in like doom etc, I dont care at all for productivity its purely for gaming

if you was going with one and had a 980ti which would you take and why thanks

So I just had this choice.
Bought the Asus as it has less pixels to drive! Plus I don't like having to move my head or eyes too much.

I have a 980ti and Witcher 3 is wonderful. I'm 85% of the way through, but only just started up again after 16months rest from it to enjoy the ending with my glorious screen.

Plus I've had a busy year.

2560x1440 @144hz is the best imo for now, when ultrawide with decent resolutions go to 144hz I'll get one, the reason why is CS:GO really needs the higher refresh.

If you are playing WOW, Witcher 3, Doom, GTA V along with racing games that don't really need stupidly high refresh then 100hz will do you fine and you should get yourself the X34A.
