god i cant believe it, it's just one crap heavy song after another, trying to get all platinums i spend more time pressing d-pad to find one of a few decent tunes than concentrating on the cars ramming.. err i mean racing me.

if you have an ipod, iriver or an equivalent just hook it up to your xbox using one of the usb slots, press the xbox button and load some tracks up from it, problem solved :D

but yeah, i rarely listen to the songs from pgr3 as they are pretty bad. Some are ok though but i prefer my own stuff.

I just use the media extender and play the decent music :) though the only track I love on there is Bloc Party - Helicopter :p

I couldn't even get the hang of how the daft music selection worked, so I ended up switching the music off entirely and hooking up my iriver to the 360.

Just upgraded to a USB ipod from an old gen 2 firewire jobby so might have a go with this. Does anyone know if it will read playlists? Does it actually upload the tracks to the hard drive or just play them directly off the ipod? (ie do i need to keep it plugged in?)

you have to keep it plugged in as it just plays the tracks straight from the ipod.

Dont know about playlists, haven't tried that yet.

It reads the tracks directly off the iPod, so you need it plugged in.

And yes, it will read the playlists on the iPod.

wats every1s top driving tunes? i stream some from my pc

It is pretty bad there are a few tracks i listen to audio bullys - real life , streets - could well be in , orbital and squarepusher :) There is 1 reaaaally really bad like cheesey euro pop song i cant stand. Its caused quite a few accidents trying to skip tracks when racing :(

Sorry to seem dim but how do you do that?

I have my music on my PC shared etc and it works fine if I'm at the dashboard but not in games? :o

press the middle X button to bring up the blade in game, and go to the music bit at the bottom and select away

voila

Engine Noise > Music

Same here, unless it's a pure arcade racer (Burnout, OutRun etc) I play driving games without music. PGR is in the semi-sim category so music makes it harder to concentrate I think.

top driving tunes =

Meat Loaf- bat out of hell
Queen- dont stop me now
Kasabian - club foot (its always on top gear)
The cardigans - my favourite game
DJ Tiesto - Adagio 4 Strings
