Howdy.

Now I'm not clued up about motors etc so I am sorry for spelling mistakes and not knowing the names.

Was testing out new cars which I bought. Can't say I am to impressed with them but I have learnt my lesson so I won't be buying anymore... even though I bought the pack lol.

So was driving on the really big track... takes about minutes to complete and I see some graffiti on the track. Interested I take a picture of it. Now when I go to quit the track it makes a sound as though I have just got an achievement. Not the achievement sound you hear in all games but the sound you hear in PGR when it's triggered.

So what just happened? Oh I was doing one of the things in Playtime... fastest lap of something... lol sorry. There's an achievement for setting a lap time for every track so this was my first track but I cant be assed with the rest.

i dont know what you did but i just have to say that picture looks stunning, and thats exactly the tv i want

its just given me a huge nudge to get one if it looks like that lol

(yes im aware its in photo mode but still)

The graffiti is there in real life, thats the Nurburgring ;)

Can't help with the noise you heard though, either an achievement, badge or trophy you won for a guess?

lol. Awesome. A HD discusion.

Yeh that's photo mode but IMO it looks the same as in game. Yep that's my nice HD Samsung. 32". Love it to bits :D

Why don't they clean it off?

Could one of you guys do me a favour then. Just take a pic like I have and tell me if you hear anything.

Tradition I guess

Because it's a famous track, and its open to the public to race on, I assume some folks get out and spraypaint tags on just to say they did it.

Some guys from here who go regularly did it IIRC.

if you look at your gamercard on xbox.com it tells you when you unlocked your achievements, so maybe you can look there see if it was an achievement?

Doesnt markings on the nurburgring mean that someone has died there, and that is the tradiotnal way of remembering them, by spraying their name, or maybe a picture that identifies them, I'm sure someone told me that and thats why theres a lot more at the corners.

Indeed in some cases, or in Dangerous' and .. TomTom?'s case from these very ocuk forums it was purely to try and get in a game i think.

People always do it, a few lads from a local general/car forum went to the ring few weeks back and did the following

:p

Loads of people do it, its just a tradition. Theres also a little cafe or something near bye where people sign the walls and stuff.

No wonder the Germans hate us! :p

IIRC, the tradition is to write messages for the drivers doing the 24 hour race, good luck messages etc. but its turned into just graffiti for graffiti's sake.
