PGR3 with VGA cable

Got a 360 yesterday (premium) with pgr 3, pro evo 6, extra wireless controller, play & charge kit, vga cable and extra battery for £335

(will post pics later)

Anyway i tried pgr 3 quickly and noticed the dashboard and menu system all looked very nice and crisp, but in game it didn't look great (using vga cable on 17in TFT, 1280 x 1024). Is it true using that connection method pgr 3 needs some kind of update? I don't have live yet, so i also heard you can go to the microsoft site and burn a disc and you can update the 360 that way?

I think there was a problem with PGR3 at certain resolutions, update will fix it

Xbox Live Silver is free isn't it? Can't you just connect to that? Saves messing about downloading updates and burning to disc etc.

Would do but 360 is upstairs, and wireless router is downstairs (haven't got a 360 wireless adapter yet). PC is right next to 360, got no problem with burning updates onto a DVD

when i get home i'll do a proper search and sort it out. Just wanted to know if there was problem and there is.

Before I got a WS monitor, 1024x768 was best for pgr3 I seem to remember.

Give it a try.
