when i got my launch 360` PGR3 was a blast online.
there only seems to be a handful of players online at best.
and am i missing something, there doesnt seem to be a lobby to choose online games from, its sort of all done for you and you get what your given?

Eh you must be missing something, its packed online, search for custom games, or matchmake thousands playing it

I've had trouble finding ranked games over the weekend, just says it's matchmaking but takes an eternity to actually get some players and is bloody frustrating.

Halo 3

Everybody is playing it aint even played PGR4 yet due to the single player of Halo 3

Give it time PGR4 will take off.

But games like COD4 Halo 3 PES 2008 mean XBL will be HUGE

I have made open rooms today and they filled with 8 people within minutes, seems very busy online to me, not checked the leaderboards yet but they should give an idea of how many are playing

Is it also possible that a lot of people have not received their copies due to the postal strike here. (When you use matchmaking doesn't it try to hook you upto local players (same region) first?).

Also as someone mentioned Halo 3 is still newish for a lot of people.

yea i noticed that same thing, with pgr3 i had no problem getting an 8 player race going.

now it takes ages. one thing i dislike is the fact that u cant view the races when u join a room that has a race in progress. u just have to sit there and u have no idea how far they are into the race. pgr3 i remmeber being able to watch the race at least.

LOADS of people playing it. But Halo3 is also out and is an absolute smash online, so PGR4 isn't going to have the same immediate online success, however over the next 12 months it will be continually so.

I was playing Saturday night in a part with a friend of mine and we had no trouble getting games, just had to wait a few minutes at the most to get in some of them.

The only annoying thing was one race was full of french canadians who talked non stop through the entire race in French, the whole damn race...

Then the next race was exactly the same but with 4 Germans who chatted non stop.

Noisy foreigners!

Better than noisy Americans (in the most case) ;)

I'm still waiting for my copy. Supposedly sent out last Thursday 1st class recorded delivery. Flippin' RM still haven't got around to dropping it off. Lazy goits are probably catchin' up on all the tea breaks they missed out on while away on strike.

In case you hadn't noticed, the strike does not sit well with me ;)

I wondered why I hadn't seen you playing it, saw you come online a few times and noticed a distinct lack of Gotham!
