Phablet?

I'm confused at which product does what I want. I need a large phone/small tablet with the ability to make calls, the main use is web/email/text and last of all voice. I have a moto-g at the moment and it's way too small for web.

Do most people simply buy a phone and a tablet then tether them? I would just rather have one device.

I do both, even a 6" screen is no substitute for a 10" tablet.
But it is far better than a little phone.
Got a Lumia 1320 which is 6" and a surface 2 which is 10.6"
I wouldn't use the phone at home etc. However it's ok for out and about.

It all depends on personal preferences.

When I'm out and about browsing on a 4.7" screen on my M7 is completely fine for me. However when at home I use my 10" N10 more.

Note4 or nexus6 are some options. It depends if you want to carry around a big device.
Some people like having a small phone and using a big tablet at home.

If I had a Note4 I wouldn't even use my tablet. It's that good.

I don't currently have a tablet, but I have owned the iPad Mini 2, Air, Xperia Z2 tablet, and Nexus 7. All of them disappointed me which is why I don't have one any more.

In all honesty, I found 10" tablets too big for me; at that point I'd rather have a "proper" computer - indeed if I was going to revisit a 10" tablet I'd go for a used SP2. The Nexus 7 was great, however, I've got a OnePlus One and 5.5" with capacitive buttons (that don't steal your screen like onscreen buttons) is actually a very nice size indeed for phablet use. I doubt you would be disappointed with that, or a Note 4 or Nexus 6.

Had a 10" tablet and small phone but they now sit in a drawer as I now have a Note 4 and its better than both.
Missus has Ipad Mini and Iphone 5 something or other, she's thinking of getting a phablet too (probably Apple though)

I find it more than acceptable to browse on my Z3 but when I'm home I tend to use the Z3 Tablet compact a lot more than my phone. It has an 8 inch screen which is quite decent and is bigger than the Nexus 7 and just below the 10" tablets out there.

I have both a 4.7" iPhone and an iPad mini. I find the phone to be just about good enough for web browsing and watching videos, but if I have the tablet handy I'll use that instead. For me personally though, I find that phablet type devices are too big for my hands and for taking around with me.
