Phantecks PWM Hub help

Both fans spin when I turn the PC on then the rear fan stops spinning? I have the 4 pin connected to the motherboard (CHA_FAN) & both fans connected to the Hub.

Both fans are Phanteks PH-F140SP which only consume 1.8 Watts each, so I have not connected the SATA 12v power cable to the hub, as it is only required if you need more than 30 Watts.

Edit: Just restarted my PC and now its working? that twice it has worked and twice it has stopped working....

Edit: The rear fan stopped again

Make sure you are running in PWM mode.

What happens if you swap the fans on the hub? Does the other fan stop this time? Which fan point on the hub is the one that stops?

Just swapped them around now both are spinning but i suspect one will stop..

The front fan was connected to FAN1 that never stopped snipping, I had the rear fan (fan that stops spinning) connected to FAN2, FAN6. Could the issue be that I have the the hub connected to CHA_FAN and not CPU_FAN like it states i should in the manual?

I don't want to connect it to CPU_FAN as my CPU cooler is plugged into that port.

The motherboard is ASUS H110M-A i could not find any information in the manual if the CHA_FAN is a PWM header, both fans are still spinning at the moment lets hope it does not troll me again thanks for the help guys.

Thank you Brizzels I did enable it via bios once i installed the HUB, both fans still spinning maybe their was loose cable before?

Sounds like it, have a look at the connectors, if it comes loose again it could start sparking a little so i would double check theyre connected in properly.

Will check it again but I'm sure its all plugged in ok now, I did get a "Asus anti-surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply" right after I installed the hub.
