MY son and i finally built his gaming pc saturday, apart from a few headaches all went well or so i thought, eveything is working except the 2 case usbs. The case is a Phantek Eclipse 400s.

Yeah I dont know, what board did you end up buying and what version of windows?

TBH I think if using Win10 and Z170 it just works from the get go.

if you search for device manager and see if you have any unknown devices or any devices not installed this will hopefully tell you.

what version of windows have you installed?

Got no idea then as the USB3.0 is controlled from the intel chipset and you dont need any extra drivers with Win10.

Re-installed all the drivers last night, re-checked all connection's and Bingo!!.. The case usbs are working. I have since gone into Device manager and came across this on one of the usb host controllers :

"This device is working properly.
Windows did not start a related device driver. To learn more, click the Driver tab and then click Driver Details".

Anybody have an idea what this is/means?
