Either the am4 plate or the screws for the block are out of spec. The supplied standoffs have 2 different threads neither of which line up with the standard am4 plate supplied with the motherboard. The manual of the block says that the standoffs (sorry "socket screws") fit inside the acetal standoffs, yet they do not.

I've got a picture of the parts I'm talking about:

Also the block is too long (or socket too short):

Also block is too long for the motherboard holes:

I've used that water block on a MSI B450 Mortar no issue so you may have a duff block.
Rubbish picture but see below

I have standoffs but they don't fit into the standard AM4 backplate. I'm going to link this thread to my private order thread and see what they say. Looks like I'll be ordering an ek block (but the magnitude has gone up £70, lol).

There are a few £40-50 AM4 blocks on the member's market at the moment if you don't want to pay the piper too much.

I went with the quantum magnitude and it lines up with the holes at least. Also bought an AMD wraith stock heatsink fan so I can test my 3rd hand 6800xt air cooled before doing a hard tube build (never used hard tube before, wasn't available last time I did custom watercooling).
