I was wondering if I should upgrade the standard case fans that came with my phanteks or are standard fans ok?
I have a primo and evolve X, I believe the primo comes with PH-F140SP I'm not sure about the evolv X

Ill be using the Evolv X

Do I need to switch the fans ?
If I need to switch, what should I get without breaking the bank ?
Should I get the 120mm or 140mm ?
What are the options ?

I may have 2-3 nocuta f12s and a mate has p12s for sale.

i have had a primo,an enthoo luxe
and currently got phanteks 719(luxe 2) and a white enthoo luxe
all of them the included fans are actually very good
cant see any great reason to spend cash
to change them to something else
unless you want rgb fans
changed mine out in the end simply to have more rgb
not because they werent good

The evolv x cones with 3 x 140mm I would be putting the rear 140mm in the front and add more fans a the rear and top.
Thank I have fans from the primo I could use or the noctua 120mm

Thank, I dont need rgb fans because the evolv x has the RGB strips at front, that is one of the reasons for getting it.

I was just wondering if needed better fan or if I need high pressure fans because of the lack of vents and the front mess.

are the standards good enough for the cases needs ? but if I don't need them that's good news.

i found them good enough
doing a new build next week hopefully
and will still use one for rear exhaust rather than
go buy 1 extra rgb fan
so i would certainly give them a try

I have 3 x 140mm in mine, but 3 pin.

Have them set ~ 6v in bios and i can't hear them and they move enough air to cool the inside of my case (Pro M)

If i remember correctly the case only came with 2 fans so had to buy another.

yeah you can connect a 3 pin on
a 4 pin header
though dont remember what will happen in terms of
controlling the speed if you do it on the built in fan hub
if some of the fans dont control properly
connect them to motherboard 4 pin headers instead
bios will probably allow voltage control of them
instead of pwm control

Does anyone know how to control or auto set the fan speed and noise ?
in the primo it auto adjusted but in the evolv I can hear the fans all the time.

which fan connector should I use ?

I assume like the 719
The fan hub connects to a motherboard header
You then use the motherboard software
Or the bios fan control section
And set yourself a fan curve
Or just set it at 1 speed if that's your preference

Thanks, I've already all done all the above but its still a noticeable noise.

it could just be me.
