Ok so my GFs got an old system with a Matx mobo and wants a new case

ive got my eyes on an Evolv but im a bit confused which one to get.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

The £99 case claims "Motherboard support uATX, mITX"

and the £56 Mitx case says just "Motherboard support: Mini ITX"

Anyone know what thats all about ? will a Matx board fit in the Mitx case ?

and why is one almost twice the price

No, the Evolv ITX won't take an MATX board. MITX is smaller than MATX, so naturally an MATX case will take an MITX board, but not vice versa. It's twice the price because it's bigger and uses more premium materials.

Mmmm thats a shame , i dont think theres 40 quids worth of premium materials there !

i think i shall be getting a Prodigy instead ,

looks like they do matx and mitx for the same price,

Although once ive added a few bits to make it how she wants its not much cheaper :D

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £87.92

You probably at the time went with a different case because of the mATX Mobo issue fitting, just curious to know now 2018, did you get to buy the Phanteks Evolv mATX TG?

No , i got the Bitfenix Prodigy mentioned above . Its a bit tight inside for cable management but she was happy with the pink highlights :D

very nice case, looks very classy. (can't find any reviews though? any going to be published soon?)
except for the PSU fan dust filter. looks like an afterthought decision.
perhaps need feeding back to the design team?

eteknix did a review. The summary they wrote was

At £60, you’ll be hard pushed to not find this chassis very good value for money. It’s got a solid range of features and is well suited to most mid-size gaming PC builds. If you’re after good build quality, a clean looking system, and a well-known brand name, you can’t go wrong with the P6.
