I recently got a new case, had been itching for something less constrictive than the Silverstone TJ08B-E as much as I love the little thing. I have always been a boring case type of guy, no windows just a black box that sits in the corner sulking type of PC, simple cable management with no bells or whistles.

It's been here for a few days, decided last night to just transfer all the kit out of the TJ08B into the Mini XL.

Here with this I am hoping to eventually have a custom water loop, with a pair of the yet to be released 390X or such, and eventualy move to 4k off two GPU's.
Still to get a new PSU, then I will add my 2nd R7950, I will also add a Cablemod cable kit, and a Phanteks RGB strip, I guess the 2m one will fit best?

Radiator wise with regard to water cooling, well I think I have some time to think of that, originally I was after a simple layout with two thick 240mm radiators. What I may do is either get an AIO until I have new GPU's, or just do a CPU loop if a watercooling rebuild is worth the hassle.
I also may well end up with four HGST 4tb drives in here, I plan to get a NAS or server at some point and have one HGST, so pondering another three or moving to WD reds, games will be stored on a 2nd SSD.

Even with a DVD drive you can see there is plenty of room for a 360 radiator above it, so there are a few options, even with six HDD's this case will still take two radiators, with plenty of space for a combined pump top/res, this could be along the bottom or on the dedicated side panel, but it's the one thing that is making me consider no HDD's as the small window would highlight a reservoir nicely with some lighting.
I like the idea of clear coolant with the RGB lighting glowing off it, or some LED or such.

I also think they should have made it taller, and allowed space for 360mm + 80mm radiators top and bottom.

This probably will not be a build log as such, no fancy photo's or high end components, I usually upgrade bits here and there as time and money allow.
I would love to make this as special as some of those amazing custom builds many of you guys do, hats off to you, but I feel this my work on this will be a bit average.

At the moment it looks half baked and empty, huge in comparison to the old TJ08's i'm used to. Construction, well it ain't too bad for the price, steel is thinner than I would have liked in places, one spot where the paint could be better inside within a corner, and the filters are tricky after being used to the easy Silverstone design. But it is definitely good value for money, a lot of build optins, space, and extra's make it feel like there is nothing this case could not cover.

Funny you mention that.

What you see is currently what is going on, it turned out I did not really need CF so I left it as it is for now as I was wanting to see how Skylake and new stuff progressed, and I am currently looking at adding a MiniITX to the build instead of watercooling.

Most of this is being put off until after Xmas and some new flooring is done, when I have more time.
