Phanteks Evolv ATX - An Update

can an ATX board ie. ASUS P8Z68. fit into the evolv mini atx?

i really want on of them but cant justify the upgrade/sidegrade for components to go in it so want to stick what i have this ugly beast into one.

the specs say it is only slightly smaller than what i have now...

No, the Evolv mATX only has 4 PCI slots so no ATX boards will fit, only mATX or mini ITX.

Chug did you manage to get any new pics m8?

I'm under NDA unfortunately. We have one of only 2 mass production units in the world at OCUK Towers. All I can say is that it's a phenomenal case and you will all want one. I'll do my best to try and put a few cheeky pics up before the NDA lifts, no promises though :)

The only issue I see is that the space for rads at the top is limited, see how low a thin rad and a set of fans sits, it's over the ram. Unless you can fit a set of fans inside the roof above the rad tray? On the Evolv mATX you can't, there's not enough room for normal thickness fans, there's more room in the roof on the ATX model but then you wouldn't be able to slide the rad tray out.

I'm looking at the manual and I can't see the table it says to check thickness depending on setup. I was thinking something like ST30 would be ok might get away with 45 in the top.

I was thinking of a whole new water cooling build, going with the corsair 540. But this.. this might look like a better option!

What is the front intakes dimensions?

EDIT: Found on the website, d'ooh.

This looks promising!
