PHANTEKS EVOLV X & P600S

I don't mean to troll, but I'm wondering what this has over the BeQuiet Dark Base 700 that is £60 cheaper and includes very good Silent Wing 3 fans? I've had my eye on getting a BeQuiet case, but considering other options.

For me the Evolv X is unique in that it offers the flexibility to do things previously unheard of at this price point, for example dual system with enough storage options for say a FreeNAS build or a second system with a discrete GPU, amazing Watercooling support, and the best cable management in a the price segment.

It offers a built in Fan hub with support for 8 fans and dRGB, either using Phanteks dRGB ecosystem or the ones supported by major motherboard manufacturers.

Is the Evolv X for everyone, clearly not, but its redefined what is possible in a £200 case for those who are willing to spend £200 on a case.

I do have an overclocked dual GPU setup but even so current setup does ok off a 360mm and a 140mm.

I basically want to squeeze as much rad in as possible so that even with fans running slow the delta T remains lower under load. With the 360/140 when running games or rendering the fans still have to ramp up more than I’d like to keep the loop below 45-50 degrees. Ideally I’d achieve the same temps with 800rpm as I achieve now with 1500rpm.

Can never really have too much radiator area, as long as it all fits and doesn’t impede airflow.

Anyone else doing a WC build? Looking to put two 360mm rads in.

I'm currently using 2 x 240 HWL GTS and i also have a spare 280GTS in the parts bin but I've picked up a secondhand HWL 360 GTX which i may just put in the top and have 3x120/140mm fans in the front pulling in air without the added resistance/added heat of passing through a radiator first. Its a single CPU/GPU loop so a thick 360 rad will be fine.

I currently have only one rad 360 40mm, (1 gpu) and have to run my fans at 1400 to have decent temps. At this level to me it is a hairdryer:p that's why I'm planning to add another slimmer rad, not to have better temps but like Zeeflyboy, to slow down fan speeds 1000rpm max.

Can't quite believe I've done this, but I've cancelled my pre-order. I've slowly been moving my stuff into a home server rack, and have decided to carry on with this process. I have the AF edition, so couldn't justify this too. :(

Unfortunately, as with anything that is hotly anticipated, there is a slight delay with the arrival of the first batch of Evolv X. We are currently looking at a 14/09/18 arrival date, although we are working on getting this a little earlier. There has been some delays in transit at sea due to bad weather which means the arrival date has been pushed back at port. I'll keep you updated.
