Phanteks M25Gen2 Linq6 connector issues

Have asked OCUK support about this, and phanteks support, but thought I'd also ask the community. Got a NZXT H9 Flow case (so fairly big, in terms of fan group spacing), and a MSI x870 tomahawk case

Bought 3 reverse 120mm Phanteks M25Gen2 fans for the front side, 2 Phanteks M25Gen2 140mm reverse for the bottom intakes, and 1 Phanteks M25Gen2 normal 120mm for the rear exhaust (already have an msi aio up top)

These fans are only outputted with a linq6 cable, and theres no linq6 adapter in any of the boxes to convert back to pwm/argb-drgb. The adapters supposedly exist out there but cant find them for sale anywhere
EDIT: the triple fan pack boxes do have the adapters, the singular fan boxes dont

The linq6 header wont plug in to my mobo anywhere. I could use the phanteks hub but it only has 2 linq6 ports, and the 3 different locations of fans (front, bottom and back exhaust) would probably be challenging, maybe not possible) to daisy chain given the length of the cables and then the placement of the hub. I'd otherwise need two hubs which is an added cost and clutter

How do I make this work? Has anyone seen any of these linq6 to pwm/drgb adapters anywhere? To the best of my knowledge linq6 splitter cables dont exist

Thanks!

Phanteks have a Discord channel. A staff member or customer on there may know? I am interested in knowing how these new M25 Gen2 fans perform and sound. Will you let us know your opinion once you've got them sorted?

thanks, I'll give it a try. I'll be honest though, my patience is running out.. tempted to just return the lot if I cant get it solved soon.. shouldnt be this hard to get a response about an adapter cable to just connect some fans

I'll wait a bit longer though, realistically theres very few choices out there for reasonably priced argb fans that also have reverse options

I think I looked into the CT range and they reviewed favourably. Some reviewers stated they were loud within certain RPM ranges but it could well have been a fault.

Hello, did you ever find a solution to your issue as I am experiencing the same thing right now. No adapter no Input header on Mobo nothing, Thank you.
Nope, its a serious mess;

1) phanteks discord did get back to me but seem to suggest to everyone (who asks about linq6 connections) that they can get a free phanteks linq6 hub under a promo if youve bought enough phanteks linq6 items (fans, aio, etc) and you send proof in to a support email. I did that and the global email never got back to me, the usa email did but as to this point they havent offered me a hub, questioned why i wasnt being offered it (havent bought 6 fans) but so far didnt respond. said they'd said me a spare linq6 to pwm/drgb cable but no info on if posted or tracking since around late dec. questioned them as to why the singular fan boxes dont have an adapter cable, no response
2) sent ocuk a query about this too, the guy responding to me doesnt seem to understand that phanteks have a unique linq6 connector, instead suggesting i buy this which is of no use: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phanteks-rgb-led-adapter-cable-ca-057-pt.html
3) it is technically possible if you buy enough of the triple fan packs (i guess min 2, no way would one be enough if you have lots of fans given the combined amps and voltage of lots of fans daisy chained to a single fan header) to use the extension cables that come with that, to connect back to pwm/drgb as these triple fan packs are the only source of these adapter cables

Find it really weird. Like the singular fan boxes even say "pwm/drgb" on the box itself which is a complete lie, if you bought just one of these fans, theres no way to get a pwm/drgb output, the only output/termination is linq6 which doesnt plug in to anything unless you have an adapter or hub

If you google for "phanteks adapter cable linq6", this thread is the 3rd link returned, which also shows that this adapter cable simply doesnt exist for purchase anywhere

This is a joke, I don't understand how they can just hand out singular fans and give no one any idea on how to connect or anything similar, Thank you for the reply anyway I will keep searching.
Do you perhaps have Phanteks discord link please ?

oh I forgot as well, the linq6 hubs are not available anywhere for purchase either, according to phanteks richard on the discord, as they are still fine tuning the software for it. global phanteks email originally suggested i just buy one from ocuk, pointed out that ocuk only have them as pre order for a while and pasted them a picture of what richard said, they didnt respond to that either

(you need to verify by clicking an emoji as to your region in #get-roles, then i jumped to #askstaff for everything ive learnt so far)

Are you going to return the fans.
Depends if OCUK will take them back. Was hoping for a better solution and understanding of the issue from ocuk support and phanteks support but not currently seeing that

Wanted to believe these would be good for rgb and also having reverse fan options which is great when you want all your fans with the nicer side for the glass fronted and sided case, but im also sort of half going off the idea of rgb too with the software app options, bloat that those have and whether they work with all the rgb equipment you have or even just picked up. Wondering if maybe going back to all super quiet non rgb black noctua or bequiet fans might be easier and if the light from my aio fans and cooler unit isnt enough for me then just an extra rgb strip somewhere

I have now sent Phanteks an email requesting for rather the hub or the adapter cable, (I would prefer the Cable tbh). If not I will just have to exchange them for the 3 - pack.

Try there face book page. They created a post about the free hub when these launched. I would hope that if upou comment on that post you will hear back

Ive just brought a few sets of these fans too, I brought a pack of 3 120mm reverse flow, pack of 3 normal flow and a single pack 120mm reverse flow fan, like you said, the 3 packs came with the adapter cable but the single pack didnt, although ive signed up for the free hub on the facebook page, I dont know if the offer will still be open, for now ive had to just connect the rear fan to the top 3 fans via the link cable and hope that my motherboard header can handle 4 fans safely.

the phanteks 120/140 fans draw 0.3amps max each, most mobo fan headers (unless cpu or aio header) only allow 1amp max, 4 fans would be 1.2amps, tbh i wouldnt chance breaking a header. even at 80%, crude maths, but that would be 0.96amp, very close to the limit

Yeah thats what I thought, it sucks that I have to buy a 3 pack though just for 1 fan so I can get the cable I need to hook it up to the motherboard separate from the rest, I dont need the controller, as im using a razer chroma for the lighting effects and the motherboard with bios for speed control, I was trying to avoid further un-needed control software on my PC, ie the Phanteks controller software, when I can easily control the fan speed in the bios and use the existing Razer device for lighting which is in my PC anyway, so it doesnt make any difference adding a few more devices to it.

Currently I have the 3 top fans and the back fan connected to the CPU header, 3 bottom fans connected to the Chassis fan header and my water pump connected to the AIO header, there is 1 other header which is CPU_OPT which is shared control with the CPU header, but without the cable in the single pack to hook it up to the motherboard, well that kinda screws things up, and thats it for controllable headers on the ASUS X670E Gene, the other 3 headers on the board run at 100%, with these fans all id need is an ATC voice in the background and it would sound like a jet trying to land in my lounge if I connect them to those headers.
