I have the entho primo case and trying to use the PWM hub.

I have a msi z97 mobo with 2 PWM headers cpu_1 and cpu_2,I have done as the manual says connect the hubs 4 pin cable to mobo cpu_fan.

I have 2 rads one with 3 e-loops fans and one with 4 e-loops fans I have connected one of the fans from the rad to the phanteks hubs fan 1 and the rest are connected to the 3 pin connectors on the phanteks hub.

I think that is correct set up? but what is happening is that all the fans stop spinning when pc is at idle!! they struggle to spin and making squeeling noises! they are b12-2 1300rpm versions.

You need to change the PWM curve in the bios

The standard PWM curve on most motherboards for the CPU header will not hit 100% RPM till the socket temp reaches 70c.Depending on the fan this would be too low a voltage/pwm value to even start the fans when idle.

Go into the bios change the CPU header fan curve to make it a little more agressive

ok thanks i will give that a go

seems to be working now:),might just plug case fans into none pwm headers as it cant be good for the fans ramping up and down all of the time?

Nice one :)

Yea you should do that.

I got my Rad fans on my CPU header so they only ramp up when gaming/benching ect and have my case fans plugged into the other Fan headers on the mobo with a different pwm curve
