Is there a better PSU on the market at this price point?
(appreciate it's 6 weeks away)

Total: £135.49 (includes shipping: £10.50)

No it's hard to beat that especially with a 12 year warranty but out of stock.

Did overclockers confirm it's 6 weeks away ?

Corsair rm is a good alternative.

Just says estimated 8-12-20

The RM just doesn't look very exciting.
I've been using a seasonic for years, would like to replace with another one but they seem to have taken a nosedive.

It's a psu and probably the last thing you want any excitement from. As long as it's high quality and does it's job it's fit and forget. Cheaper than that are the Corsair RM850 and Superflower Leadex III 850w which is a cracking psu although it's about time Superflower joined their competitors and increased the warranty from 7 to 10 years. Within £15 of the Phanteks is the Seasonic Focus GX850 and white and black Corsair RM850x. All of these are excellent psu's but none can match the 12 year warranty of the Phanteks.

I appreciate it's perhaps lower down on the list of snazzy parts in most builds, but this is likely going to be a wall build. Everything exposed. Thus, the better looking IMO phanteks is winning. That said, not sure I can wait that long.
