I just found I have one of these brand new, so I am considering purchasing another 2 and replacing my front 3 120mm case fans.

Has anybody tried these in a BeQuiet pure base 500dx? Hoping somebody can tell me if there is any compatibility issues with the case.

Cheers.

Ive not tried them fans. But the fans that come with that case are decent. Maybe try them out first.

They are in use, 1 exhaust and 2 intake on top... Their issue is they ain't PWM but yeah good fans.

Trouble is they are 140mm so can only get 2 of them front when I want 3.

I run 9 of these on a big radiator, they're awesome fans that do serious RPM with 2 different modes. I usually run them around 1200rpm which even at that range shift serious air while being super quiet. Can only imagine them being even quieter without a restrictive radiator in the way.

The only thing to note is, they are 30mm thick fans compared to the standard 25mm. I dont think you'll run into issues installing them into your 500dx though.

Cheers, I think my only obstacle may be the front filter behind the mesh panel but I could remove that anyhow.

T30s seem to be in short supply at the moment. Quick google shows £69.99 is cheapest price at the moment. Hopefully we will see new shipments giving us lower prices.

I hear you. But I only have a single new 3-pac. Other 3-pac are in my Phanteks Evolv M-ATX. I ran the 2x 140mm included case fans as front intakes before and had no issues. Biggest advantage with T30s filling front as intakes is not needing to clean filters as often. With 2x stock 140s in front I needed to clean about once a month to keep good case airflow. With 3x T30s a couple of months is no problem. Their added pressure rating means they can keep on pulling plenty of air thru dirty filter when stock 140s couldn't.

Worth the money then? Are these the 140mm or 120mm

120mm, i'm not aware of any 140mm launch date yet.

Totally worth the money. Been using mine for a good 18 months i think on a big 12 fan radiator and they're really good and silent upto 1200 rpm is when i really start to hear anything. They have a switch for Hybrid, Performance and Advanced RPM mode for speeds upto 3000 rpm!

My T30s have 3 settings;
Hybrid mode has fans off below 50% PWM and max out at1200rpm
Performance mode is 9-2000rpm
Advanced mode goes up to 3000rpm.

Sorry for huge image. At least we can see what PWM : rpm is for each setting.

These fans are soo good. I was on the fence for ages as £70 is a lot for 3 fans, but they were on offer for like £62, so I took the plunge. So glad I did as they are amazing. You can tell they are quality as soon as you feel the weight and how smooth the blades turn. I used 3 for intakes to replace a mish mash of Enermax, noiseblocker and Akasa fans and the difference is astounding. They run around 700rpm idle and are barely audible, while still dropping the cpu and motherboard temps by 2 degrees. I only have a 5600, but under load it never goes above 61c and the fans only ramp up to around 1100rpm. I ran cinebench and thought there was an issue at first as my pc usually sounds like a vacuum when benching.

I'm going to get another for my Dark Rock 4 tower cooler at some point and then the 140mm once its released for an exhaust fan.
