What an old messy case I had. Time for something nice and new (well from the clearance line but it looks spot on)
Clean new case
Stock Intel cooler off, hmm some dubious thermal compund there.
PSU in.
Mobo on.
New Gelid tranquillo on, bigger than I expected it to be!
Close up (cookie if you spot the n00b error).
GC in.
haha cable management.
Finished article.
Poor old case looks sorry for itself, you did me proud.
Frontal.
In place at my desk.
Night vision! (I had two CM sickleflows so decided to put them in the front and the fan that came in the front in the empty top slot).
Really happy with it, idling under 30 degrees with fans on full whack. Super quiet when the fans are on low idling at 34-36.
It took me a while to complete but this is the first "proper case" I have had the pleasure of dealing with (a lot of the time was spent sorting the tranquillo out, which now has the fan on the right way round
). Pretty simple to work with, the odd fiddly thing like wanting to remove the front when there is a dvd drive in place means you have to unhook the drive and slide it out first.
No complaints from me as a n00b when it comes to build pc's.
As doyll says you should really switch that fan round so that its blowing towards the rear exhaust fan.
