Hello,

Can anyone give me some advise please. I am just about to order a Custom Phase change cooler and have a little concern about my BCLK I have a UD-5 MB and it doesnt seem to like going over 215. Q is will that change once the new cooler is fitted? If not cant see how i can get the faster speeds as i can only get X22 on the multi.

phase won't help u get passed ur BCLK wall, only a higher multi will, hence why most on sub zero cooling use the extreme edition cpu.

True i'm afraid.

Nearly all i7/i5 cpu's have a BCLK wall, some mobo's also have a wall as well.
Phase will simply not help you get over that wall.
Your problem with the 860 stuck at 215 BCLK is well documented on all the major clocking forums, some peeps have even been stuck at 210 BCLK.

As said, Phase comes into it's own when you have an unlocked multi.
There can be the odd exception, when you have a 920 that can do 230 BCLK or more. But it would cost a lot cpu's to find the one cpu that did do over 230.

Looking bad .I have been playing about to find the MAX and its 217,215 is stable but thats my lot.

I can get the multi to X25/x26 but thats with C3 and turbo boost. But cant get a solid OC useing that. gets to 4.6 one day then 4.4 the next. Looks like i am saving my £400 and spending it on a new CPU/ Mobo.
Realy wish i had bought a 1366 Mobo!!!
