just thought i would share my latest project iam building for a friend
IMG_0187.jpg

its a small 1/5 hp r600 compressor
stainless braided flex line-600mm long
stepper evaporator made by me:D
IMG_0190.jpg

will be using r290 for gas as i have had good results with this and my evaps.
IMG_0192.jpg

added a little desuperheat coil as the condensor is quite small.
IMG_0189.jpg

hope you like it.

already built one for myself with same setup and getting -55.c evap-idle
-35.c-cpu-idle.
-46.c-evap-full load and -10.c-cpu-full load.
not going to talk pricing as i make these for people.
not as expensive as you might think though.
keep the cost down by making my own evaps and flex lines.
cpu is xp3000-754-2gig @3gig [email protected] volts.

xp3000 754? - either amd64 3000+ or 754 or skt a athlon xp3000+ (im impressed if its the latter, they do kick out some heat with volts)

Looks cool (sorry for the bad pun), wish i could make something like this. I work as a marine recruitment officer so i might put "make a phase cooler for a computer" in my interview process for reefer techs :)

Looking good. :)

Do you have any detailed pictures of the evap and its design (internals etc)?
its a classic stepper design.........not going to give my secrets away though!!

Well I havent really looked at it as not something im planning but linky (vr zone) seem to have a rather good guide there. It's for a dual head system but it has links to the bits you need to know to get you that far.

robmac, how easily could you replace my machII refridgerant with r507 ? :)

i've got R134a in there atm
