Hi,

Im currently running a phenom2 940 @ 3.8 ghz stable. And although its fast enough i have seen these 6 core ones and wondering if i can expect much of a difference?

Also can these clock as high as the 940 and as easily?

Games, stream films and sometimes encode etc, browse the internet and porn =p

I always have a million and one things opened at once. And vpc uses a lot of juice.

ive just moved from 4 to 6 cores and decodeing files in winrar and isobuster seems a good bit quicker

Yeah , yours probably more so cause your running a crazy clock speed

Im due an upgrade so im thinking of getting one of these and maybe a newer water cooling. Yours is nice im still running an old Asetek water chill from the stone age =p

i was in the states in april and pre-aranged with dangerden that they would send my new case to my holiday villa were we were staying.....saved me a few quid on postage to the uk

What speed were you running before you got your new processor, was the clock speed so high? I just dont know weather to hang on and see what else comes out or if i should just grab one of these ones.

Is your wc built into case or is it seperate? Mine looks like i just pulled it out of a skip =p

i was running a i7 920 at 4ghz......i feel the computer market has slowed in the last few years you used to get new stuff all the time that was twice as good as what you had but not so much now....i bought a 920 2 years ago when it came out and its still one of the best cpus out...same with the x58 chipset and irch10 southbridge 2 years old and still the chipset of choice.... i think the 980x will be the best for a good while to come yet and according to articles ive read theres nothing in the near future thats going to beat it...

my wc is mainly built into my case apart from the reservoir... it was in my case but the rampage 3 is eatx and when i changed boards i had to take the reservoir out cause it wouldnt fit any more...i think it looks pretty neat though on the back. i have a tfc monster rad that i bought for the build but it took ages for me to custom fit it and once i had got it to fit and was happy with it i realised the video card would fit....doooohhhhhhh......so i had to replace it with a 360 feser that just fits..
