Phenom 2 Arrived!

As topic title says, just arrived at 08:35am!

Here's the goods. Phenom 940 BE, DFI Lanparty 790FXB, POV GTX 280, 2x2GB OCZ ReaperX RAM, TRUE Heatsink.

I just don't like the DFI board for one reason, those yellow slots on it.

Although I might get one, one day when I make a yellow themed pc

I quite like the black and yellow theme myself

So far it's provided more of a headache than any actual enjoyment but I'm slowly getting there. 3 hours after it arrived and I'm only just installing vista -.-

heh, good luck getting it all right fella.

It took me a whole day to get my IP35 pro running properly.. to the installing Windows XP.

Well that's vista installed finally with my GTX 280 card. Updating now and according to speedfan, it's idle temperature is between 25 and 30C. That's good yea?

Yep, not high at all.

Some 45nm Intel Duals do have lower temps tho, but don't know about the intel 45nm quads...

Huge heatsink on RAM + TRUE = can't put 2 sticks in.

Ordered some normal sized RAM from somewhere else that should be perfectly fine

There a lot better then the old ones but a decent Core 2 will still cane it...

Nice to see DFI thought a lot about the design when thinking about the cpu slot & memory slot lol.

Ran the Supreme Commander performance test and it's incredible. Graphics settings are above what I could have them on before and it's so smooth! Average of 40FPS
