phenom 2 overclocking

hey all

a while back i unlocked the 4th core on a phenom 2 x2 550 BE
its running at 3.1ghz at 1.4v i ran prime 95 and speed fan said it was hitting 57 degrees but i know its not very accurate

would u leave it at that or would you try and push it a bit more?

How did you unlock the cores?

what cooler are you using at the mo? (sounds to me like its the stock one).

i generally find that motherboard temp sensors are out by about 5-10.c, so i'd say you're nearing the limits of what it can do (max temp for phenoms is 62.c).

long and short of it: get a better cooler and then you'll really see what that chip is capable of!

the cooler is a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2

i'd check it's mounted properly, or turn the volts down, thats pretty high for those speeds
