How does the Phenom 2 compare to the C2D ?
Or more specifically, my e6600 clocked @ 3.6ghz will need what speed on a phenom 2 to be equal in gaming terms (disregarding any possible core unlocking).
 
A phenom X2 is probably pretty similar clock for clock.

A phenom X4 would depend on whether the extra cores were utilised.

It depends on your graphics card as to whether the cpu will any limitation anyways.
