Phenom 965 C3 Initial thoughts....

OK switched from a C2, I struggled with 100% stability at a mere 3.6 so ran it at stock and sometimes then it crashed (I have 4 DIMMs installed running at 1333).

This occurred regardless of what volts I was making avaliable

SO wanted to get the C3 as I suspected the memory controller was letting me down...

knock her up to 3.8 and NB to 2.4

No change to any voltage, and 100% stable, did hit 70 degrees priming but I am in a V351 case... So airflow is not incredible....

So my thoughts to anyone wondering about getting one is they are great......

Sold the old one on a well known auction site so the upgrade only cost £20 quid, deffo worth it..

tbh u really need to keep the tcase temp under 62c, also i would keep the core temp below 62c too

yeah, i thought 62 was the max before phenom2 cpus started being damaged :S

so yeah 70 is pretty bad, unless the 965 c3 is different?

looks like you need to get a better cpu cooler if you want to keep that clock.
