mines idling around 50 and does no seem to move much under load highest i seen is 57 so far but was wondering what others idle at? and if a TEC cooler like a Titan Amanda would be a good idea if i am gonna overclock?

Thanks in advance

Idle @ 50*C? your sure theres nothing running in background like F@H or somthing?

I'm assuming its stock 2.5Ghz right?

If you want to lower temps try a fancy CPU heatsink+Fan or try enabling Cool n Quiet on the AMD CPU.

thats seems to hot. i would have thought it'll be around 30c ida and about 38-40c load.. tomorrow i will be receiving a 9850 BE, so i will let u know what temps i get.

well i dumped on ther stock cooler for now, i do have a zalman 8700 cooler i could try but i lack artic spooge for now so it'll have to wait.

got nowt running in the background and my room is not hot or anything so temp is getting me tbh, still at stock speed and deffo want at least 3ghz outta this minimum

At stock speed it should not be ~50*C

Like gareth said ~30*C is expected.

The settings are stock? Voltages? Get some more of that AS5 and reseat Heatsink. A nice pea sized blob in the middle and squash it down with the heat sink :)

hmmmm its seems the max temps is 61c, so your temps are to hot

u could try the zalman 8700 cooler , it should be better than the stock cooler...

i'll be using Akasa AK-922 EVO tomorrow, so hopeful i won't have heat issues

do you have bios fan speed control turned on?
eg, the abit ax78 defaults to fan speed control on with a ramp up from min (30%) at ~35c cpu to max (100%) at 55c or simmilar.

decided i was gonna stick we the stock cooler as i was reading some thermal compounds take a few days to settle to best preformance, cpu idles around 35 now and about 45 loaded......
I got an xclio windtunnel case with space for 2 more 120mm fans so might see about digging a couple up..... now the question is do i get plain ones or one's with nice blue led's to match the case:rolleyes:
