hi

i got my cpu at 3ghz without any problems.. only 0.05v needed to be added to the vcore :D (from 1.30v to 1.35v) the load temp is 60c

not bad huh?

but i have afew questions, on amd site it says the phenom 9850 as a max temp of 61c, which means Ambient Case Temp right? but does Ambient Case mean (CPU) temp in EVEREST Ultimate Edition? and what the max core temp?

It sounds fine really... No idea on the max temps though. Maybe look at reviews with the stock cooler to get an indication of how it performs at stock and extrapolate?

max 60degrees......you need to bring those temps down man

my idle temp 39degrees, stress test 4hrs temp was 47degrees

your temp is not good for phenom 9850

max core temp is 61c and max Ambient Case Temp is 35c says amd.

i have a Thermalright SI-128 now which gives ida temp at 35c and 43c under load.

********.

ATI says also 80c for GPUs and intel 60, yet they run respectively at 100/65-70 without any probs.

I would say 60c at full load in orthos blend is definitely fine.
And remember that there is no other software/application that will get your CPU temp this high.

If orthos gives you max 60c with blend, then most apps games won't get it over ~52c.

but problem is does it mean the Ambient Case max Temp is 61c. because if you read reviews nearly all say Ambient Case max Temp is 61c, not core..

i know amd told me 61c is the core max but it doesn't seem right for a 125W cpu..

well when i first installed my phonem 9850 i didnt seat the heatsink right, idle temp was 65degrees, i posted on amd forums (trying to find the link) and amd admin told me that the core temps (using amd overdrive, and to be safe) should not exceed 61degress.....i myself am going by what amd themselves have told me...core temp max 61degrees

well in getting 3.560 18+198fsb with 1.550v(max for chip) on air(tuniq tower) and 32c and 40-43 load ram upped just a notch but id worry about 60 degrees personally i try not to go above 50 ( the temp your reading could easily be 10 degrees out so be carefull )
i was getting 50 degrees @ 1 stage , then i realised the cooler was upside down lol
tbh i think it will go higher but im quite happy with what im getting now

The 61°C max temp refers to the max temp the surface of the IHS can get to safely (hence ambient temperature quoted). Remember when the IHS gets to 61°C the die temp will probably be over 100°C

Your temps are fine.

my bad 1.3 v but up to 3.650mhz 203fsb *18 multiplier is this right ?read chip only hightest clock was 3.7 and on sandra temp not above 42 degrees load
is there a good free app to test temps, and bench for cpu

its stable . :)
