Read a lot of reviews now it seems there quite capable of hitting 4Ghz...?

however your have to get certain stepping, which settping for the 9900 is the good ones!

Also... i dont see the 9900 for sale anywhere???

Whens it out if it isnt already?

Cheers
Matt.

The 9900 wont be out for a while yet, probably Q2 2008? The 9700 isn't even available yet. :(
As a result nobody will really be sure of what stepping is good.

It doesn't really matter anyway since they'll get released and we'll get taken for a ride by the retailers again. Only now are the prices starting to come down to what they should be for the existing Phenoms.

I take it you mean they could maybe hit 3ghz? Can't see any Phenoms hitting anything like 4ghz for quite a while. Better off waiting until the Black Edition 9600 is released in the near future, even then it'll still be better of waiting for the B3 chips to surface.

Already out in the US I thought, we should see them soon enough. They're still the B2 stepping though so will have the glitch (that we'll probably never ever encounter).
I'm also thinking about a BE, a 9500 for £110-£120 would go down well though, even if I could only get a couple hundred mhz extra out of it I'd be happy. Hopefully we don't get bent over yet again with a ridiculous price mark up for the BE 9600 in the UK.

Hi. please link to a review that has them over 3ghz please as thats all i have seen them on reviews. if they are hitting 4ghz or anything over 3 really i will very much consider staying with amd for my next upgrade.

may be worth looking at a spider platform if the cpus are sorted.. think the chipset is a bit buggy still though?
