Basically my phenom 940 is at stock speed (3.0 ghz) and runs at 41deg idle and 61/62deg under heavy load. Are these temps unusually hot?? and will they cause any damage to the cpu?

I use the arctic cooling frezer 64 pro on the cpu so i thought my cpu temp would be much lower. (When i run it at full speed in bios at ~2200rpm the cpu cools to 32deg but using smartfan control is usually spins at under 1000rpm.)

62c under load is to high for stock. on amd site it says the max temp is 62c for the 940

try resitting the arctic cooling frezer 64 pro ..

my 940 idles at 38-40c, under load at 50c this is with an overclock at 3.7ghz.

if its 32c when u have the fan on full speed just keep it on that..
