Hey guys..

would like to know whether there is a real chance to push my CPU a bit higher?currently running phenom II x4 965 on 4GHz from custom 3.4GHz..
voltage is set on 1.41V...everytime i try to push it a bit further it restarts or freezes.....also have CoolIT Eco ALC so the temperature is not an issue...
is there any way how to go further, please??

thanks

How many RAM sticks are there? 2x4gb or 4x2gb? As 4 sticks will strain the memory controller and limit your overclock.

Is that 4ghz Prime stable?

Push the CPU voltages a bit up. Don't go pass 1.5v.

I would say that at 4Ghz you are already at the limit of stability, especially as you are running 4x2GB memory sticks.

Be very happy with what you are running at as you won't be able to push any more without causing problems.

4ghz is actually pretty good as far as the X4's are concerned, most early ones usually hit a wall at around 3.7-3.8ghz unless you had extreme cooling.

As the others have said, I would leave it at 4ghz. It's a very good overclock considering you have 4 sticks of RAM. You won't see any significant performance gains after 4ghz.
Just make sure you run Prime for 8 hours or more to ensure it's fully stable.
