Phenom II

Some boards req. a bios update to work with the PIIs. Generally AM2+ is good enough for the PIIs.

Have a check on the manufacturer website to be sure.

uuuh the Gigabyte website is horrible, it wont seem to work for me, check the CPU support list for the board you have.
I know for my Asus board some PIIs are listed, if you don't have them listed for you then you wont be able to run it properly.
 
I have this Mobo too, works great with the Phenom II's. I don't own a phenom myself yet, but a friend let me borrow his to test if it worked and it flies along.
