i think i must be the unluckiest person with the N68s-ucc :(

i've received a Phenom II x3 this morning, so changed out my 7750be (wouldn't unlock extra cores) and placed in the phenom and DDR3 1600mhz,
no boot , powered on/off 3 times and then it booted stating boot error press F2/delete to go into bios or will go to windoes in some seconds, i leave and it goes into windows fine.
I then restart system and then have the same issue so i change ram settings to run at 1600mhz with correct voltage and timings and again reboot to same issue.

this is bugging me as when it gets into windows it works perfectly.

Bios version 1.60

any help with getting this working correctly would be appreciated.

the one i got doesn't seem to unlock either

thats why i must be the unluckiest with this mobo

edit:

hit default bios settings and is now up & running fine, just looks like i got another BE cpu that doesn't unlock :-(

Did you get it new? hoping that it will unlock to x4 or 2nd and it was unlock previously to x4.
How much vcore did you push to the chip?
Is it an x3 720 95w chip?

bought off bay and have only used default settings, have asked previous owner if they unlocked successfully but no reply so far.

what volts would you recommend to try and i will have a go ;)

yes 720be 95w

upped voltage to 1.4 and still no extra core so don't think it will unlock, not sure whether to go any higher.

Run Core Temp 1st and see Vid for your chip and start from there, increasing vcore 1 step at time until it unlocks.
Just stay below 1.5v and keep the chip below 60°c under full load.
What concerns me though is that the asrock-ucc supports only up to
95w processor and an unlock x3 will probably go more than 125w tdp at full load, but maybe if you dont run it at full load it will stay within the 95w limit of the board.
