Phenom prices....

Apparrently a company in the USA has leaked the prices of AMD's new quad-cores:

HD9500WCGDBOX - CPU Desktop Phenom X4 9500 (4MB,95W,AM2) box - $247
HD9600WCGDBOX - CPU Desktop Phenom X4 9600 (4MB,95W,AM2) box - $278
HD9700XAGDBOX - CPU Desktop Phenom X4 9700 (4MB,125W,AM2) box - $288

Don't know how true or real they are but thought I would share.

9500 = £180
9600 = £204
9700 = £210

My guess at prices. Thats inc VAT

Now let see how far I am out.

If those prices are correct would that put them more than the new Penryn cores? (one's around the Q6600 performance?)

Didn't know how interested people would be as it seems everyone has left AMD and jumped on the Intel band-wagon

(I know servers etc are where AMD has been growing and the fact that us enthusiasts are a small percentage of the market)

If AMD can put themselves near par with Intel & run with less power etc I would move back but atm I do see why everyone has moved over to Intel.
