I'm new to this forum so would like to start by saying hello :)
I'm also new to monitors and need some advice on which one to choose.
I currently have a (*cough*) 17" ProView EM-175 monitor that came with an old Dell PC.
I have recently built up a new computer and have an ATI X850 graphics card and want to take advantage of the cards graphics and get a decent quality 20" monitor.
I mainly use my computer for gaming, the internet and occasionally photo editing. I want a monitor that can show true colours (or as near as) for viewing and printing photos. But that's not too important anyway as I can adjust colour setting in Photoshop. Really I want it more for gaming as I'm quite new to gaming on the PC.

I have spent many hours researching monitors and though I don't know much about them, after reading other reviews and comments I have come up with 3 monitors. But which one should I get?

The monitors are Philips 200W6CS (£317.19), BenQ FP202W (£293.69) and ViewSonic VX2025 (£328.94).

I really can't afford anymore than the ViewSonic. I'm not sure which panel the Philips uses, has this been confirmed yet? Do any of these monitors come with a DVI cable?

Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Thanks guys, that helps a lot. I thought the BenQ was 8-bit, being 16.7M colours?
IGN recently reviewed this monitor and said it's 8-bit.
The ViewSonic will go with the rest of my set up so more than likely I will go for that. It's a shame the Philips wasn't in black and silver as I'm tempted to go for that one.
