I think this is in the correct category, as for needing to know about the CMOS battery, but if not could someone please move this to the correct category. Thanks!
Hi guys, got a little problem with my sisters PHILIPS-Freevents LX2000 Mini PC.
When powered on, it doesn’t display anything on the TV. It is connected with a DVI to HDMI adapter, and then a HDMI cable to the TV. It has been connected this way ever since purchase, and has worked fine up until a few days ago. I have tried using a DVI cable to a Samsung LCD monitor, which waits for signal to decide if its analogue or digital, and it must be outputting something as for the LCD stays onto the Digital mode when I power on the Mini PC, but just stays blank.
Whenever I have came across this problem with a desktop pc, I take out the CMOS battery for around 30seconds, and put it back in, and then I get a display on the screen, just have to correct the resolution etc.
I have opened the top of the Mini PC, but cannot find any battery? Is there a different type of battery used in Mini PC’s or something? If so, I’m not quite sure what I’m looking for.
Does anyone have any ideas what it could be, and anything I could try? I really don’t think there’s actually any sort of hardware fault though.
Sorry for my noobiness!
Thanks!

Just to add, when powered on the HDD Activity flicks on once, and straight back off and then stays off. Im confused
