We are always looking for unique selling points and we've sold Philips monitors for years but mainly to our corporate customers who buy the brand because of its reliability and superb on-site warranty services that are extendable. So over the past six months I have being discussing with Philips about the possibility of extending these warranty services directly to end-users. After some negotiating they have agreed to offer us their range with a 5yr on-site service for the end-user.
So should your Philips monitor malfunction in the 5yr period you simply call the Philips warranty department who will arrange a new on-site monitor swap out to your door, this does mean the warranty is with and provided by Philips and not OcUK. Of course your still have your statutory rights with OcUK but that would be a simple return to base and await repair service, so it makes far more sense to take advantage of the 5yr door-to-door service provided by Philips.
Of course nothing is free so this service does mean we cannot be the cheapest on the Philips range as most of our competitors sell the lineup with just 2yr and 3yr warranties, so of course the pricing is higher at OcUK because we pay Philips upfront for this additional service contract.
Anyway onto the range of monitors which are all very high-end and absolutely superb, I personally have their 25" 2560x1440 and the OcUK MD has the 34" 3440x1440 Curved one, so yes we use these monitors ourselves as do several of our corporate customers:
