Philips rally bulbs

I have them on my main beam on my Mondeo, only use them for a couple of minutes at a time maximum so unlikely to overheat the headlamp assembly or wiring. I got them for when coming back from a friends place on an unlit stretch of the A10. They are really good, just be very cautious with oncoming traffic.

Dont do it.

I got a pair of 100w rally bulbs a few months back and have just had to replace both headlights as it had melted the reflectors inside of them.

I've run high wattage bulbs in cars for years without any bother - the worst I had was the main beam stalk burning out on Sierras.

I've got 90w/100w bulbs in mine and nothings happened. Remember these are illegal, although that being said mine passed the MOT with them in, and they are blue lol

ive had HID bulbs in my fogs for a while now , bought them for 7 quid of the interweb, havnt had anyproblems with them and really look much better with the xenons rather then before where it was a yellow and blue mismatch. not sure if the HID's are the same as what we're talking about but i asume theyre both high wattage

They would be much brighter. Those 30/50% brighter bulbs mean they throw their light 30/50% further ahead. They arent brighter in terms of wattage.

You have xenon's or HID looking Xeons, cause the HID system costs £200 + aftermarket, the bulbs alone are £40+ ;)
