Phillips DTR220 freeview box

It's £36.97 in Tesco, but I've ordered it online to collect on wednesday from a local tesco direct store, and the online price is £29.97. I added my saved up clubcard vouchers worth £24, so only had to pay £5.97. :cool:

Anyway, I bought it also because the picture on the display box seems to show the same software I prefer, the vestel. My old techwood freeview box burnt out the other day, so I'm currently using the freeview built into my DVD recorder, via AV2. Anyone know if this Phillips DTR220 is a decent product or am I going to have problems? There seems to be mixed reviews on it.

they seem to be ok, a dam site better than grundig digi boxes.

I got the box today. It's very nice and fast. BUT, I can't believe it has no live picture in the corner of the EPG screen! Switching to EPG, it completely cuts off what I'm watching, both sound and picture. I thought all freeview boxes let you continue watching while scrolling the channels? My old one did. This is gonna have to go back I think. The picture on the box shows EPG software which is different.
