Phillips hue smart plug

Is it safe to plug these into a surge protector? I’ve just set mine up with my Xmas tree lights and it works. I do hear a slight high pitch noise when it’s on, nothing horrible - but definitely there.

I can't see why not.

It's not technically daisy-chaining an extension so would have thought it'd be fine.
