phishing website

Hi,
My brother called me earler. and said when he signed into facebook, a message come up from his mcfee antivirus program, saying something like, phishing website maybe harmful to your computer, block or allow. he blocked, but everytime he signs into fp, the messages keeps coming up.
he can sign in, but can't get into his inbox or anything.
what can he do?
Be grateful if someone could give some advise

do a scan with http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

He got a popup so he chose to click on it (thereby activating it)? Idk. First thing he can do is get to a clean pc and change his password, assuming he can still log in.

Then scan (& immunise) withSpybot, then malwarebytes, then some av, although the first two should remove almost any browser based nasty.

"Something like" isn't particularly valuable. What does the warning actually say?
There's also a chance it's a false positive.
