Phisx borderlands?

So I got a question.

I got my 660ti playing borderlands 2 and I am loving the phisx

My friend has the game and is playing it on a amd 6950 and still has all the phisx the exact same as I do.

So what is the difference?

There's GPU PhysX, and there's general PhysX, it sounds like you've either not got GPU PhysX enabled, or something's changed and they've dropped GPU PhysX. I think it's more likely to be that you've not got GPU PhysX enabled though.

I have definetely got the phisx on and have every thing that in the video and more.

:S weird I believed only nVidia cards could do PhysX. Are you sure his is doing physX?

Yes we both definetely got it and he is definetely on a amd xfx 6950 and i5 2500k.

There is an option that says phisx low medium or high and we both have it on high and both can see the exact same things on the screen and both getting 60fps.

I don't really understand all the videos advertising phisx if people are still running it fine on there amds so could someone clear it up for me I a bit confused.

It does work on AMD cards, but can chew your frame rate as it's all done by the CPU.

(Judging by various forum posts and tests)

I guess it just seems wierd to me that they would post these sort of videos up if they are untrue.

The physx is great there is stuff flying all over the place and it just gets crazy.

Lol so you can still run full physx with a 2500k and an amd card and get 60FPS? Hope you didn't get your 660 on the basis of physx.

Nah that wasn't the only reason but it was one of them although I only got phenom 960t so definetely needed the gtx.
